Aviva Jifei Xue

Aviva Jifei Xue is a menswear/unisex artisanal fashion brand. The designer Aviva graduated from the Parsons Fashion Institute in New York City and established her brand in New York in 2020.

She began experimenting with the splicing of fabrics, with different textures and the recycling of vintage materials, influenced by the life experience in China and Japan, the love for special weaves and touch of handmade and antique fabrics.

The fabrics used for each garments are usually available in limited quantities because of their uniqueness, which adds to the brand’s exclusiveness. Shirts are made of antique Japanese kimono silk fabrics from the 1950s to the 80s, with ceramic buckles handmade and glazed by Japanese craftsmen. The designs are genderless and a relatively loose fit, enabling all wearers, no matter their body types to feel comfortable and confident. Each piece of clothing and each piece of fabric has its own unique touch and re-evokes the ritual sense of dressing.
