The Iron Ranger is one of the most popular Red Wing styles in the world. This was further developed in 2017, leading to the majority of the Iron Ranger models no longer being made with nitrile cork, but with the Vibram 430 sole. The recessed profile in the shoe leads to a better grip on unpredictable terrain without appearing bulky.
Part of this series is the 8086 Iron Ranger (formerly 8116). The grey and innovative Charcoal Rough and Tough as well as, for the first time, matte eyelets will only strengthen the authentic and original charm of this shoe over time. This shoe can be worn both matte and polished. The naming of this shoe can be traced back to the inhabitants of the Mesabi Iron Range in northern Minnesota. Many decades ago, the miners needed a shoe which could cope with the rough conditions. The toe cap, reinforced with additional leather, and elaborated heel construction were able to resist the most adverse circumstances.
