Today, this legacy continues through his son Marco, who carries forward the family tradition in Perugia, Umbria, Italy, channeling his inherited passion and experience into the creative side of design.
The heart of Mannucci 1978 lies in “Matter” — the very substance of creation: “Experimenting with Matter means working through suggestions and attempts since it is only by getting one’s hands dirty that one can succeed in making every single creation unique, like a work of art.”
This philosophy sets M-1978 apart from conventional fashion trends, embracing uniqueness, irregularity and imperfection, featuring dusty colors, stains, and cuts as intentional details that elevate each piece into something distinctively artistic. Continuously evolving, the brand “highlights the details typical of the Made in Italy tradition,” anchoring its identity in artisanal heritage and craftsmanship.
M-0 is a collaboration between Manucci 1978 and Layer-0, the brand by Alessio Zero also from Perugia, Italy. This project is the result of the meeting between two designers, Marco and Alessio. The combination of two brands, both based on experimentation, has brought to the creation of a new jewel collection. During the 2015 Paris Fashion Week, the collection showed their desire to communicate through material, leather, metal, crystal and bones, shaped by a gracefully refined design. This project is not only the result of a professional collaboration, but also an opportunity to learn and develop new skills and friendship.
