Born in traditional Kyoto and raised in London College of Fashion, the IERIB brand unites the Japanese craftsmanship spirit and bespoke British tailoring culture. Rei Tanaka, the designer behind the brand grew up surrounded by tailors in his grandmother’s atelier. He is still one of the few who carries an entirely handmade process in every artisanal detail – construction, patterning, and dyeing. He believes crafting by hand is the only way for his creations to appear exactly as he imagines them in advance. IERIB is acknowledged for utilizing and experimenting with the world’s most high-end materials: signature culatta, mud-dyed linen, Japanese paper, cotton, to name a few.
