Nick Fouquet

Hats from Los Angeles

In Nick Fouquet’s own words: “It’s a passion that became an obsession that became the business.” Growing up with five artistic sisters, Fouquet spent much of the early part of his life in admiration of what those around him manifested. It wasn’t until later on, near the back side of his twenties that Fouquet’s own creative quest first revealed itself, his fires stoked by what seemed an almost lost art and dormant accessory, the hat. From the get-go designing, Fouquet conjured the entire universe of the subject who would eventually rock his lids; what car they drive, what music they listen to, what food they crave, what lovers they chase, and gradually, a hat would emerge, hand crafted to the character’s flow and raison d’etre.

R13

Punk & Grunge Inspired Streetwear

Chris Leba founded the New York based ready to wear brand R13 in 2009. He graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and began his design career at J. Crew and later worked at Tommy Hilfiger, American Eagle Outfitters, and Polo Ralph Lauren. R13 is known for rebellious styles through deconstructed, distressed and shredded denim pants and shirts. The label started out as a pure girls brand but nowadays also features raw and rugged pieces for men. The inspiration for the designs of the brands is coming from 80s and 90s punk and grunge styles that Chris Leba establishes as a timeless style with R13.

Kolor

Structure and Subtle Disruption

Kolor is a Japanese fashion brand founded in 2004 by Junichi Abe, who had previously worked under renowned designers such as Rei Kawakubo at Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe. Abe launched Kolor with the intent of creating garments that express a refined balance between structure and subtle disruption. Rather than following the conventional rhythm of seasonal trends or chasing obvious aesthetics, Kolor emerged as a brand that celebrates detail, innovation in construction, and a uniquely off-kilter approach to menswear and womenswear design. From the beginning, Kolor positioned itself as a quiet disruptor in the fashion world. Junichi Abe did not seek fame or spectacle; his designs spoke for themselves through their complexity and craftsmanship. Instead of relying on logos or overt branding, Kolor’s identity has always been embedded in the garments themselves—through intricate layering, unexpected fabric combinations, and the precise but unpredictable cuts that have become the brand’s signature. Abe’s work has often been described as “elevated normcore” or “quiet avant-garde,” but these terms only approximate the distinctive language that Kolor has developed over two decades.

Swampgod

Upcycling Fashion Project

The story of Swampgod begins in 2020—right amid the global COVID‑19 lockdown—when Arturo Boem, a graffiti artist from Venice, channeled his creativity into fashion design. He began by upcycling basic archetypal workwear, particularly pants and jackets, and showcasing these revamped garments on Instagram. His raw, expressive aesthetic, coupled with sustainable ingenuity, quickly captured attention.

Marina Yee

Pioneer of Sustainable Fashion Design

Marina Yee was born in Antwerp in 1958. She is best known as one of the Antwerp Six, the group of Belgian designers who changed the way the world looked at fashion in the 1980s. But unlike some of her peers, who built larger labels and chased international expansion, she has always chosen a quieter path.
