The philosophy of Kay Knipschild und Christian Josh Heise – the owners of the Statement Store – is the following: “Denim in its puristic form is our passion. Unwashed jeans that get an incomparable patina step by step after a year simply make pretreated jeans look old. As authentic denim lovers, we wanted to create a shop where everyone – no matter how big or heavy or how big the budget – can find perfect jeans.”

Their vision is to introduce Denim, Boots and a special spirit within Munich’s historical district Glockenbachviertel. This shall manifest itself into a hailing port for craftsmanship aficionados right next to the Red Wing Store Munich. Their store offers products from brand manufacturers mainly from Japan, the USA, and Europe. The product range includes White’s Boots which are hard to get in Germany, real collector’s items gathered from American flea markets, and a diverse selection of raw, unwashed denim products and Selvedge Jeans, which are as rugged and unique as the machines that produced them in limited quantities. In addition, you will find accessories by Kobashi Studio, Blankets and mugs from Pendleton, Jewelry from Larry Smith and much more.

The store also provides the service of hemming every customer’s denim, up to 25 ounces, on a rare chain stitch machine. For the founders of the statement store, quality is more than status, but love to detail proceeds everything. That is their Statement.
