Founded in 2004 by Japanese designer Kohei Kawamura, KLASICA is an independent label based in Tokyo that explores the dialogue between past and present. Rooted in a deep appreciation for vintage garments and global cultural references, the brand reinterprets classic forms through a contemporary lens.
The name “KLASICA” derives from the word “classic,” reimagined with a distinctive identity—reflecting the brand’s commitment to timeless design over fleeting trends. Each collection draws inspiration from historical workwear, military uniforms, and archival pieces, blending them with modern silhouettes and experimental construction.
KLASICA is defined by its meticulous craftsmanship and use of high-quality natural materials such as linen, wool, and cotton. Garments are designed to evolve with wear, developing character over time and embodying a sense of lived-in authenticity.
