Sobre MARSÈLL
Marsèll was born in 2001 as an expressive method to give life to a new handicraft culture. Shoes are the objects on which a research line devoted to the passing of traditions limits is grounded, joining the counterculture movement based on deconstruction. A practice of pure creativity that originates from the drawing, to wisely get to the ability to shape materials and creating design accessories. The aim is to realize timeless iconic objects that can communicate with people who do not need to be classified under a specific genre. Through a deep knowledge of first quality raw materials, the ability to find the right balance in assembling elements very different from one another, and the direct control over production, Marsèll established itself worldwide for its excellence. The character and distinguishing feature of the brand comes from volumes and finishings – contrasts, sharp cuts, plays of polished and matte surfaces -, entirely realized in the in-house workshop. Innovative techniques together with ancient methods in which memory was going lost are adopted to create unique objects, not industrialized and produced in series, original and informal in look and substance. Every artifact is rigorously handmade by men and women inside Marsèll workshop in the Riviera del Brenta Area, near Venice, Italy. Knowledge and creativity are key values of the brand, and not by chance, since its first steps, Marsèll decided to support young artists, giving life to Marsèlleria, a project and multidisciplinary exhibition space that had a core role inside the brand communication strategy. The non-profit project produced, for more than a decade, exhibitions, performances, and different forms of art ventures, honoring the most authentic freedom of expression.
Marsèll Paradise, established in 2016, is a new space where Marsèll identity and communication codes get together. Set on two levels as a fluid platform that hosts a selection of Marsèll collection and nurtures different projects, it is a connector able to generate an endless dialogue between different disciplines and expressive forms such as art, photography, music, and publishing. An international location based on knowledge and free sharing of contemporary culture.
