ANFRACTUOUS DISTORTION by Leon Emanuel Blanck
The 4th collection by Leon Emanuel Blanck was named after his self-named philosophy, ANFRACTUOUS DISTORTION. A post-apocalyptic & retro-futuristic collection created with an unorthodox & experimental state of mind – large singular pieces of fabric & leather are molded on the human body, creating irregular patterns that allow movement.
Vegetable tanned horse hide got coated in “Rigor Mortis”, a special resin dye that Leon development in his atelier and later onwards named his FW15 collection after. Applied onto fabric, this treatment allows the material to become stiff and rough with a hard external side and a soft & comfortable inside. The treatment partly distresses and peels off during movement.
