Greg Lauren SS23 Re-Construct Collection Lookbook
The Greg Lauren Spring/Summer 2023 Collection Re-Construct expresses a lot of individualism through discarded stitchwork patched pieces, baggy pants and wide blazers, handpainted jackets, and models in the lookbook styled as cowboys: “There’s something at the core of the idea of the cowboy that resonates with people that has to do with individualism, and the idea of the figure that doesn’t conform and has the courage to draw their own path,” Greg Lauren says.
Greg Lauren SS23 Signature Piece – Paint Splattered Tent Tux Jacket
Made using vintage US Army Tents with repurposed military nylon for the lapels. Each tent is deconstructed and cut to the Greg Lauren signature double breasted jacket silhouette. Tailored and unconstructed, the pattern uses a traditional high armhole and relaxed fit throughout the body. Each piece is painted individually in the GL Studio in Los Angeles. Each pieces is unique. And tones, details and paint will vary from piece to piece.
Greg Lauren The Stichwork “Fair Isle” Sweater
Made using the unique “GL Stitchwork” process, where scraps which are irregular in shape and too small to be used for anything else, are stitched together to create yardage. This sweater used hand dyed scraps from previously cut fisherman sweaters and styles. Each piece is unique, and the colors and patterns of the scraps vary from piece to piece.
