MIHARA YASUHIRO started as a shoe brand in 1997. Mihara’s design extracting everyone’s focus by his unique and surprising ideas. He always thinks out of box to bring people enjoy the playful theme of each garments in every collection.
Born in 1972 Nagasaki, Japan. Entered Tama Art Design Department textile undergraduate in 1993. The next year, Mihara started self-study of making shoes.Two years later, in 1996, he launched his own shop “archi doom” that supported by some shoes manufacturer. After Mihara graduated in 1997, he renames “archi doom” to “MIHARAYASUHIRO” and started to present collections.
The unconventional about MIHARA YASUHIRO sneakers and boots are the soles and toe caps which are manufactured in a factory in France using molds made by hand by an Italian sole specialist instead of conventional scanning and CAD that are usually used to mold the sole. The production of soles and toe caps begins with the making of molds.
GRANMONDO s.r.l. started as a rubber mold workshop in 1937 and was established in the city of Vergamo in northern Italy in 1951. Molds for manufacturing soles and toe caps are made by the company’s specialists, who have carried on the tradition to this day using injection molding machines and compression machines. The sole and toe cap are then produced by more than 50 manual operations using molds finished by the specialists. The soles and toe caps are made of LACTAE HEVEA® natural rubber made by RELTEX,a certified Living Heritage Company. RELTEX is a company that produces 100% natural rubber soles. The Para milk harvested from the Para rubber tree is poured into molds by hand by skilled artisans without the use of any machinery.
The insoles, counter heels and interlining are made of eco-friendly and biodegradable Biorel® made by Lusocal of Portugal. Lusocal is a company that has been leading the industry in the manufacture of heel counters, toe puffs, and other essential footwear components for over 30 years. In addition to its products, Lusocal is actively involved in sustainable practices such as recycling used materials and introducing renewable energy into its facilities.
Upper production and sewing is made by EUROVILDE in Portugal using GOTS certified organic cotton from Juanpoveda in Spain. The company EUROVILDE obtained ISO certification for its quality and environmental management system in 2018, and is committed to making shoes with the goal of protecting and minimizing its impact on the ecosystem, in line with measurable standards for waste removal methods, energy and water reduction, etc.
