Duellum

DUELLUM is a brand started by the designer Tomoaki Okaniwa (The Viridi-Anne) in autumn/winter 2020/2021  when he produced costumes for the new performance “III” of Juan Kruz Diaz de Garaio Esnaola, a contemporary dancer, choreographer and stage director who collaborated in the image shooting of The Viridi-Anne SS19 Collection.

DUELLUM is based on the concept of a personality in which two aspects and two or more personalities coexist in a human being, inspired by the new program of Juan Kruz. Each collection at DUELLUM only consits of a limited number of pieces, all made of materials with high scarcity value and through highly skilled craftsmanship. The handmade pieces depict Tomoaki Okaniwa’s unique ideas and has a completely different look from The Viridi-Anne.
