Issey Fujita

Born in Tokyo, Issey Fujita has always been influenced by the traditional simplicity of his native country’s clothing. In 1999 he moved to Italy and began collaborating with the CARPE DIEM brand by Maurizio Altieri. Here the experience of working in the various phases of the creative process was fundamental for him and lays the foundations for his future label Lumen et Umbra. His interest in materials led him to research and develop unique fabrics and experimental manufacturing methods that soon attracted the interest of international buyers and decreed, right from the start, the success of Lumen et Umbra in the most important boutiques in the world.

For the AW 23-24, the Japanese designer has created a new brand, this time under his own name ISSEY FUJITA. A wardrobe that will in fact be unisex, or genderless, and can be worn by anyone. A timeless Collection projected towards the future but with solid foundations in the past of which ISSEY FUJITA is a profound connoisseur.
